Bellingham Announces Intent To Play In WSHL Provincial Division

Following the announcement that the Western States Hockey League would be placing the Northwest Division in dormancy for the 2021-22 season, the Bellingham Blazers announced their intent to instead play in the Provincial division.

The Blazers posted to Instagram Friday night stating they were attempting to seek league approval to play in the Provincial division from the WSHL commissioner.

In addition, the team is seeking approval to reach out to players from Rogue Valley and Seattle to allow them a spot to play within the league.

Such a move would require a bit of reworking to the schedule, plus the current border status and player’s visa status will surely play a part as well.
