The Rock Springs Grizzlies will have a new look for the new year as operational changes have made their way online. The Grizzlies website is now showing that former Director of Business Operations Sarah Wurst is now the team’s new owner.
In an additional move, former Casper Warbirds head coach Jacob Smulevitch has posted on Facebook that he has accepted the head coaching position with the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies had been coached by Darren Naylor to start the season, with Naylor stepping aside on November 4th and assistant coach Brad Zangs taking over on an interim basis. As part of that announcement, it was noted that previous owner Wes Mussio was exploring additional options for expansion.
Smulevitch began the season in Casper, with the Warbirds making operational changes of their own early in December after a 6-16-1 start to the year.
