New Hampshire Mountain Kings Join NAHL for 2023-24

The North American Hockey League has announced a third expansion team to join the league in the 2023-24 season as the New Hampshire Mountain Kings will join the East Division next season.

The Mountain Kings will play out of Hooksett, New Hampshire and the Tri-Town Ice Arena. The arena is set to receive a $2-million expansion this season to upgrade the dashers, locker room, and training facility.

Hooksett sits in between Concord and Manchester, New Hampshire. Manchester had previously been home to the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL and then ECHL after the Los Angeles Kings moved the AHL team to Ontario, California.

No initial announcement was made regarding the coach for the upcoming season. The Mountain Kings become the ninth team for the East Division, and the first NAHL team to set up shop in the state of New Hampshire.
