USPHL Provo Rebrands, Becomes Provo Predators

With the announcement of a new management team for the United States Premier Hockey League’s Provo organization, the team has announced re-branding of the team from the Provo Riverblades to the Provo Predators. The Predators name had been used by the Peaks Youth Hockey Association in Provo, which now aligns all of the teams under the same banner.

The change comes after the completion of the organization’s second season in the USPHL, coming in as one of the USPHL’s expansion teams when the majority of the WSHL’s membership moved to the USPHL. With the Riverblades originally using a green and blue color scheme, the Predators feature a dark blue, gray, and white color palette, and also announced their new jerseys as well.

The Predators also announced the hiring of their General Manager/Head Coach for the 22-23 season, bringing in Nick Dreyer. Dreyer had previously served as an assistant coach for the Ogden Mustangs the past two seasons in the USPHL.

Prior to joining the Mustangs, Dreyer served multiple seasons as a youth and high school head coach in Illinois and Utah.
