Corey Bricknell Named Head Coach of USPHL Rock Springs

The Rock Springs Prospectors have announced the signing of Corey Bricknell as head coach for their inaugural 2022-23 USPHL season. Bricknell joins the team after having won the Can-Am Junior Hockey League’s Champions Cup with the Cold Lake Aeros last season.

Bricknell was hired by the Aeros in January 2021 while the Western States Hockey League was on hiatus, and led the team to a 36-4-0 record in 2021-22, en route to the team’s championship win in Cold Lake.

Prior to his stint in Cold Lake, Bricknell coached five seasons in the NOJHL among different teams. Bricknell also earned Coach of the Year honors in the CAJHL last season.

The Prospectors will kick off their inaugural season in the Northwest Division of the USPHL, joining former WSHL teams in the Vernal Oilers, Bellingham Blazers, Seattle Totems, and the Rogue Valley Royals.
