
Game 1 between the Northeast Generals and New Jersey Titans kicked off on Friday night as the Generals earned the 4-1 win over New Jersey, and took a 1-0 series lead.
Despite going 0-for-8 on the power play in the contest, the Generals picked up goals from Jared Scott, Brent Keefer, and a pair from David Andreychuk. The Titans’ lone goal came from David Posma in the second period on the power play, with the Titans going 1-for-5 on the man-advantage.
New Jersey came out with a number of shots in the contest, finishing with 53 total shots on the night, compared to Northeast’s 33, with only five of those coming in the final period.
Cullen DeYoung earned the win in net for the Generals, making 52 saves. Andrew Takacs picked up the loss, making 29 saves in the contest.
