2022 NAHL Robertson Cup Recap: Jamestown Earns 2OT Win, Takes 1-0 Lead over Johnstown

It took 83 minutes and 56 seconds for Game 1 of the East Division semifinal matchup between the Johnstown Tomahawks and Jamestown Rebels, with the Rebels coming out on top and taking a 1-0 series lead.

Jamestown scored in the very first minute of the game as well, with Ryan Waltman opening the scoring at the 0:54 mark of the first period to make it 1-0.

Cole Bianchin tied things up for the Tomahawks midway through the second period, and that would remain the only scoring for the rest of regulation time, and the two teams headed into overtime.

A scoreless first OT period led to 2nd OT, and the Rebels picking up the win from Kolby Amici.

Nolan Suggs earned the win in net for Jamestown, making 28 saves in the contest, while Matthew O’Donnell made 24 saves in the OTL for the Tomahawks.
