The Anchorage Wolverines repeated the script for Game 2 of the Midwest Division semifinals against the Springfield Jr. Blues, earning another 2-1 win in the series and taking a 2-0 series lead.
It was another back-and-forth affair as Hunter Bischoff opened up the scoring for the Wolverines in the first period, but was answered back by Cole Dubicki in the second to tie things at a 1-1 score.
Another third period game-winner secured the win for Anchorage as Kory Diponio put the score at 2-1. Springfield attempted to tie things back up with the empty-net, but a late penalty at the 18:59 mark of the third prevented a comeback from occurring.
Ethan Roberts (0-2-0) had a strong performance in net as he turned aside 59 shots in the loss, while Raythan Robbins (2-0-0) made 34 saves in the win for the Wolverines.
Springfield will look to stay alive on Sunday, April 24th for Game 3 of the series.
