
The Mid Cities Jr. Stars of the North American 3 Hockey League have announced the signing of Chris Hille to become the head coach for the team heading into the 2022-23 season. Hille joins the team after serving last season as the head coach of the Oklahoma City Ice Hawks.
With the Ice Hawks sold and moving to New Mexico, Hille takes over the bench boss duties from previous head coach Tom Train.
Last season with Oklahoma City was Hille’s first stint as a coach, after closing out his playing career at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2019-20. Hille completed last season with the Ice Hawks finishing in second place in the South Division, before bowing out in the first round of the Fraser Cup playoffs.
The Stars also announced the Drew Lind would stay on as assistant coach for the team after joining the team last season. Tom Train completed his fourth season with the Stars this past season.
