The CAJHL regular season has come to an end, with the Cold Lake Aeros taking the top spot in the standings. The league now shifts focus to the Champion’s Cup tournament taking place in Cold Lake.
The tournament will somewhat mimic the NA3HL’s championship final, with six teams divided into two pools, and each team playing the other teams within that pool. The CAJHL is splitting the pools between the 1-3-5 and 2-4-6 seeds.
Things kick off April 5th as the Edmonton Eagles take on the Hinton Timberwolves, followed by Cold Lake taking on the Barrhead Bombers. The preliminary games will continue until April 7th, with the semifinals and final occurring the following days.
| Seed | Team | Seed | Team |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cold Lake Aeros | 2 | Hinton Timberwolves |
| 3 | Vernal Oilers | 4 | Vegreville Vipers |
| 5 | Barrhead Bombers | 6 | Edmonton Eagles |
The winner will take home the league’s inaugural Champion’s Cup, as they complete their first half-season following their departure from the Western States Hockey League at the start of 2022.
