Minnesota Magicians Sold, Relocating to Eagle River, Wisconsin

The North American Hockey League has announced the sale of the Minnesota Magicians team to Copper Island Hockey Club, LLC, and the subsequent relocation of the team to Eagle River, Wisconsin beginning in the 2022-23 season. The Magicians tenure began in 2013 after the team was relocated from New Mexico, and will complete nine seasons in Richfield, Minnesota at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season.

The Eagle River team will play its home games in the Eagle River Sports Arena, also known as ‘The Dome,’ and will play in the NAHL’s Midwest Division during the upcoming 2022-23 campaign.

Eagle River becomes the third Wisconsin team, joining the Chippewa Steel and Janesville Jets. No information has been released as of yet regarding the teams new name.
