The North American 3 Hockey League is reportedly set to be heading to Idaho Falls, Idaho in the 2022-23 season, and the team has announced their three finalists of the Name The Team contest that the team has held over the last few months.
Ownership group East Idaho Hockey announced the finalist nicknames as the Freedom Gliders, Spud Kings, and Sturgeon.
The team will be playing their games at Mountain America Center being constructed in Snake River Landing, which is set to open in the fall of 2022.
Through the contest, the team has received more than 300 team name suggestions throughout Southeast Idaho. The contest was temporarily put on hold as the team researched name availabilities and trademarks, which resulted in the US Patent and Trademark Office filings of the three finalists.
