New Mexico Ice Wolves Add NA3HL Team for 2022-23

The North American 3 Hockey League has announced a new team for the 2022-23 season, as the New Mexico Ice Wolves will be taking the ice in the South Division. The team will be joining the NAHL’s Ice Wolves at the Outpost Ice Arenas.

The Ice Wolves will become the third NAHL/NA3HL group within the South Division, as they join the Lone Star/Texas Brahmas and the El Paso Rhinos. The NAHL Ice Wolves currently sit in first place in the NAHL’s South Division, and was named the 2019-20 Organization of the Year.

Though it was not reported in the NA3HL’s or the team’s official release, the franchise has reportedly been acquired by purchasing the Oklahoma City Ice Hawks organization, and will be making the move to New Mexico, as first reported by heishockey.com.
