The Texas Stars have announced that goaltender Ben Bishop has been recalled by the Dallas Stars from his conditioning assignment, but will be keeping him on the Long-Term Injured Reserve list due to his knee injury.
Bishop played in one game for Texas on Dec 9th against the Chicago Wolves, giving up eight goals in an 8-4 loss.
Bishop’s last game prior was back in August 2020 during the NHL’s playoff bubble following the COVID-19 stoppage, in which he went 1-2-0 during the playoffs.
It had been nearly nine years since Bishop last played in the AHL, his last season being the 2012-13 season with the Binghamton Senators. Following the loss on Thursday, Bishop’s career AHL record now stands at 91-69-9.
