WSHL Begins Adding Canada Teams To Vernal Schedule

With three teams going dormant in the WSHL’s Northwestern Division, the Vernal Oilers decided to stick things out and continue on as one of two United States-based teams. As the league continues to work out a new schedule to implement Vernal and the Bellingham Blazers, we have our first games US vs. Canada games added as Vernal announced six additional games to their schedule.

In the week leading up to the WSHL’s showcase, the Oilers will take on the Barrhead Bombers and Hinton Timberwolves over the course of seven days before heading to Las Vegas for the Showcase.

December 11th, 15th, and 17th, the Oilers will take on the Bombers, and will face the Timberwolves on December 12th, 14th, and 16th.

This gives the Oilers an initial six games in seven days before taking into account the Showcase on December 19th thru 21st. Chances are there that the Oilers will see a day of two games while in Vegas, which would mean 10 games played in the span of 11 days for the Oilers as they head into the holiday break.

There is no initial word on if the Blazers will see a similar swing at home as of this posting, but that will be something to watch for as a possibility.
