Dennis Canfield Named Head Coach Of WSHL’s Utah Altitude

The Utah Altitude of the Western States Hockey League have named Dennis Canfield as their first head coach, as they head into their inaugural season in the WSHL. Canfield joins the Altitude from the USPHL Premier league, where he was last the head coach of the Pittsburgh Vengeance.

Canfield led the Vengeance to a 31-11-2 record last season, finishing third in the USPHL Premier’s Great Lakes division. Canfield also currently works with the NCDC’s Islanders Hockey Club as their National Scout, providing a bit of a pipeline to the Tier-2 level for the organization.

Prior to coaching the Vengeance, Canfield has stops in the USPHL with the Wisconsin Muskies and Lansing Wolves, while also spending a season in the NA3HL with the Atlanta Capitals in 2016-17.
